Joining the Mobile MP3 Revolution

Well I finally decided to join the 21st century and get an MP3 player. Well, I suppose I still don't have one, because I bought this one for Sheila. I got her an iPod Shuffle. She needed a bigger thumbdrive, so I figured I'd get her a 1GB one that'll play music too. It's a very neat little toy that I would highly recommend to anyone.

And Google Desktop Gets Better Too

Google Desktop added a few new file types to its search as well as the very much welcomed Firefox history searching. They also have released a desktop SDK which will allow anyone to develop plugins to search other filetypes. Brilliant! My only major complaint about the previous version was that if emails were archived they could no longer be found. I hope that maybe it tracks Outlook emails better now. We shall soon find out.

Google Local is Even Better

Two new features I've noticed in Google Local today. For some businesses, if you click the details, not only will it display websites with it, but for some businesses it provides additional quick info like business hours, payment methods, etc. Also, it looks like they've integrated it with Google Maps as well. So you get all the nifty features of Google maps combined with Google Local. Gotta love it!
